K-Youth Development Programme

K-Youth is a youth employability initiative by Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah) which aims to develop Malaysia’s future talents. The programme will equip youth with commercially useful skills and experience to enhance their employability.

Programme Synopsis:

This specialized training program provides a foundational understanding of key technologies and practices essential to the semiconductor industries. It covers cleanroom design and classification, sources and control of contamination—including airborne molecular contamination—and best practices for maintaining safety and operational standards in cleanroom environments. A dedicated module on Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) equips participants with the knowledge needed to prevent and manage ESD events, which can damage sensitive semiconductor components. This includes instruction on ESD fundamentals, common causes, preventive techniques, control strategies, and ESD testing procedures.

Participants will also gain a solid grounding in semiconductor physics, exploring the material properties and principles that govern semiconductor device behavior. This knowledge is applied to real-world device structures used in modern integrated circuits. The program further includes a detailed look at semiconductor assembly operations, guiding learners through each step from front-of-line (FOL) processes such as wafer preparation to end-of-line (EOL) stages like packaging and final testing. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills critical for roles in semiconductor fabrication and clean manufacturing environments.
