Career Success Associate (3-month contract)
The role
As a Career Success Associate, you will play a key role in empowering learners to achieve their career goals by providing career support, facilitating job readiness, and building strategic partnerships. This role requires strong organisational skills, a passion for learner success, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while ensuring learners are equipped for career advancement.

The responsibilities
Programme management
Collaborate and partner with both internal and external stakeholders to provide excellent support services, facilitate learner engagement, and offer support services to learners to ensure success throughout their learning journey
Provide assistance in the regular review and assessment of key programme data points, as well as tracking progress against programme milestones
Support programme monitoring and evaluation by assisting in conducting qualitative and quantitative studies that produce in-depth insights into learners' learning experiences and journeys
Administrative
Assist in the coordination and execution of daily operational activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards
Maintain and update organisational databases, spreadsheets, and records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is readily available
Prepare reports, presentations, and documents as required, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Track and monitor learners’ job progress, milestones, and deadlines, providing regular updates to the operations team
Assist in the development and implementation of streamlined administrative processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency
Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather information, resolve issues, and ensure effective communication flow
Career support
Resume review and revision: Assist learners in reviewing their current resume and providing constructive feedback
Job search strategy development: Collaborate with learners to develop an effective job search strategy
Application assistance: Support learners in completing job applications by offering insights on addressing potential gaps in their employment history or other challenges they may face during the application process
Interview preparation: Conduct mock interviews with the individual to help them practise and refine their interviewing skills
Networking guidance: Advise the individual on building and leveraging their professional network to discover job opportunities
Strategic partnerships
Research and identify potential partners: Conduct market research to identify companies that align with Excelerate's goals, values, and target audience
Outreach and relationship building: Initiate contact with potential partners through various channels such as email, phone calls, or networking events
Ongoing partnership management: Once the strategic partnership is established, proactively manage and nurture the relationship. Regularly communicate with partner organisations to monitor progress, address any issues, and identify opportunities for expansion or improvement.

The ideal candidate
Holds at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related field, specialising in teaching, training and/or learning & development
Comes with a minimum of 1 to 2 years of related working experience (internship and volunteer work counts)
A genuine interest to work in a startup environment and passionate about improving learners’ employability to have a better career
Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English and Malay
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiar with database management systems
Proactive problem-solving abilities and willing to take initiative to improve processes
Highly adaptable with a growth mindset
Able to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
