K-Youth is a youth employability initiative by Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah) which aims to develop Malaysia’s future talents. The programme will equip youth with commercially useful skills and experience to enhance their employability.

This initiative is designed to equip aspiring educators and current students of UPSI with essential digital skills, ensuring they are future-ready in an evolving educational landscape.

Build the soft skills needed to succeed in interviews, secure a job, and excel at work.
Learn through a hybrid model with both live online classes and self-paced sessions, and work on real-world projects.

About the Programme
This programme is the K-Youth Development Programme (Track B - University Pipeline), created by Khazanah Nasional Berhad. It is a scholarship programme to help Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) students gain important digital skills to improve their job prospects. The programme includes training, allowances for students, and aims to prepare them for future careers.
No, you do not pay anything to enrol in this programme! Furthermore, you will receive an allowance of up to RM 1,200* upon completion of the programme.

All our courses will be held virtually (online). You must have access to a computer/laptop and a stable Internet connection.
We aim to provide you with all the support needed throughout your job searching journey including upskilling, coaching, networking opportunities and connection with talent partners. If you actively seek employment, perform your career commitments set out by our Career Success team, you will see yourself on the right path toward a career goal you set at the start of the programme.
Yes! If you successfully pass the course completion requirement, you will receive a certificate of completion after the programme. Thousands of our alumni use their course certificate to demonstrate skills to employers and their LinkedIn network.
The learning course will be held completely online. Please ensure you have a stable internet connection and have access to a laptop or PC in order to attend the classes and complete the coursework.
Course Details
No, you are only eligible to apply for ONE course, and must not have participated in any similar government sponsored programmes (e.g. MySTEP, PENJANA KPT-CAP).
Yes, based on the discretion of our admissions team on suitability to the learners and availability of spot.
If you decide to terminate your contract, you are required to reimbuse back Excelerate according to the terms & conditions stated in the contract.
All our courses will be held virtually (online). You must have access to a computer/laptop and a stable Internet connection. However, our Kuala Lumpur Campus facilities are open to K-Youth 2024 students with limited slots, where you can access our WiFi, projectors, whiteboards, desks, and chairs if needed.
Internship & Placement Support Details
It is highly recommended that you initiate your search for an internship within your first week of class, as one of the initial modules will focus on enhancing your CV and profile.
We will support you through upskilling via your digital and professional skills courses, coaching, networking opportunities and connection with talent partners.
In the event that you are unable to secure your own internship, Excelerate may facilitate the matching process based on the needs and availability of internship positions. This matching process operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Career Success team will support you in acquiring career placement opportunities as best as we can. Learners that are able to find their own placement are encouraged to pursue their own to ensure the best fit and experience for them.
