That's great! We encourage you to secure an internship or a job placement during your five week of class to ensure smoother transition. On-Job-Training and Placement Support

OJT is a 11-weeks paid internship program that provides you with a chance to apply theoretical knowledge gained through your digital and professional skills classes in a real-world work environment. In some cases, OJT can serve as a stepping stone to a full-time job offer (placement) within the same organisation if you perform well and meet the employer's expectations.
Excelerate will match you if you require support in finding your "dream" OJT or company as best as we can. Learners that are able to find their own are encouraged to pursue their own to ensure the best fit and experience for them.
It is highly recommended that you initiate your search for an OJT or placement position within your first week of class, as one of the initial modules will focus on enhancing your CV and profile. It is advisable to dedicate your free time in applying for various roles and attending interviews, as the expectation is for you to commence your OJT by Week 6.
We will support you through upskilling via your digital and professional skills courses, coaching, networking opportunities and connection with talent partners.
In the event that you are unable to secure your own OJT, EX may facilitate the matching process based on the needs and availability of OJT positions. This matching process operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you have secured a full-time opportunity (placement), you are permitted to withdraw from the program ahead of schedule subject to approval with supporting documents. Alternatively, you may fulfil the entirety of the OJT and request a later start date to ensure the completion of assigned tasks and maintain a positive professional relationship with the OJT company.
The program duration is limited to 16 weeks, and the provided allowance is specifically allocated for this timeframe. If you are unable to secure a full-time job opportunity (placement) within the 16-weeks period, the allowance will not be extended. Nevertheless, the Career Success team will continue to offer support, including CV reviewing and career coaching, for an additional 60 days beyond the program's end.
